Working principle

Negative pressure adsorption forming: Similar to the forming drum of sanitary napkins, the forming drum of the lower pad and the puppy pad also has a negative pressure system inside. Through negative pressure adsorption, absorbent materials such as wood pulp fibers and super absorbent polymers are adsorbed onto the surface of the forming drum, and then formed according to the shape of the drum surface to form the absorption core of the product. For instance, in the production of puppy MATS, wood pulp fibers are first mixed with highly absorbent polymers. Driven by the rotation of the forming drum, the mixed materials are adsorbed onto the forming drum under negative pressure, forming an absorption core.

Conveying and demolding: After the absorption core is formed, the forming roller continues to rotate, conveying the absorption core to the demolding area. Through the action of positive pressure or other demolding mechanisms, the absorption core is separated from the surface of the forming drum and enters the subsequent processing procedures.

Structural features

Zoned design: The interior of the forming drum usually has a zoned structure, dividing it into a negative pressure zone, a conveying zone, and a positive pressure zone. This partition structure can adjust the negative pressure value and area size according to production requirements, thereby precisely controlling the thickness and shape of the water-absorbing core. For instance, when manufacturing gaskets with different absorption requirements, the negative pressure area can be adjusted to make the absorption core thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges.

Drum structure: The drum body is the main part of the forming drum, and its surface is usually covered with a layer of fine-porous material, which facilitates the adsorption and forming of materials.
