What Machines Are Used To Make Sanitary Pads?

The production of sanitary pads involves a series of machines and processes designed to manufacture these feminine hygiene products efficiently and hygienically. While there are various machines involved in the manufacturing process, the core machines used in sanitary pad production typically include:

Core Forming Machine: This machine is used to create the absorbent core of the sanitary pad. It combines pulp, SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer), and other materials to form the core, which is the part responsible for absorbing menstrual flow.

Top Sheet and Back Sheet Application Machine: These machines are used to apply the top sheet (the part that comes into contact with the body) and the back sheet (the outer layer) onto the core. The top sheet is often made of non-woven fabric, and the back sheet is typically made of a plastic film.

Embossing and Cutting Machine: This machine embosses the sanitary pads to create channels and patterns that improve absorption and comfort. It also cuts the pads into the desired shape and size.

Folding and Packaging Machine: Once the sanitary pads are formed and cut, they need to be folded and packaged. These machines fold the pads and place them into individual wrappers or boxes for distribution.

Adhesive Application Machine: This machine is used to apply adhesive to the wings or other parts of the sanitary pad to ensure it stays in place when worn.

Quality Control and Inspection Equipment: Various quality control and inspection machines are used to check the quality, size, and absorbency of the sanitary pads. These machines help ensure that the final product meets the required standards.

Stacking and Counting Machines: These machines are used to stack the finished sanitary pads and count them for packaging.

Hygiene and Sterilization Equipment: Sanitary pads need to be produced in a clean and sterile environment to ensure their safety and hygiene. Cleanrooms, sterilization equipment, and dust control systems are often used in the production facility.
